Establishment of Insurance Advisory Committee


The Insurance Advisory Committee shall consist of not more than twenty-five members
from various sectors such as trade, industry, transportation, agriculture, consumer field,
inspectors, suppliers, intermediaries, organizations including security and loss prevention,
research organizations and trade unions in the insurance industry.

You are the chairman and members of the Executive Authority shall be the Chairman of the Presidency and the former Member of the Insurance Advisory Committee.
According to section 64A of the Insurance Act, 1938, Insurance Association of India was established, which includes all insurers continuing business in India as members and in accordance with the provisions of Section 64C, the law recommended that it be established Independent Life Insurance Council and General Insurance Councils.

Structure
The Health Insurance Council will have a Executive Committee of 21 members
which will come from both IRDA and others who already have life insurance licenses
The Committee will set appropriate standards and ethics for appropriate customers
service, advise the IRDA on regulating taxpayers' costs and acting as that forum
helps maintain market efficiency.

It will design and manage the agent testing and certification process
The Health Insurance Council is funded by Life Insurance in India.
Purpose.

The Health Insurance Council looks to play an important and relevant role in it
we are turning the Indian life insurance industry into a viable, reliable and profitable place
service, to assist the Indian people in their journey of prosperity.
Its function is:

• Acting as an active forum to assist, advise and assist insurance providers in the long run

Organize formal, regular and effective discussions with Government, lawmakers
and Regulators on matters relating to the provision of life insurance industry
and work through effective communication between them.

Conduct research on the practical, economic, legal, regulatory and customer aspects of health insurance, publish monographs on current developments

Set up a Mortality and Morbidity Information Bureau (MMIB) and work role in its functioning

Set up similar organizations to benefit the life insurance industry
Act as a forum to connect with organizations in other financial sectors

Play a leading role in insurance education, research, training, forums
and conferences
Provide assistance and guidance to members when necessary
Become an active link between the Indian and global life insurance industry
markets.

Rules and controls

Solve common problems in law and practice. Interaction with various others
regulatory agencies on behalf of the insurance industry.
Regularly identify key issues to be addressed by Government and / or IRDA
The & PFRDA then makes representations on behalf of the industry
Prepare industry benchmarks for all workplaces and assist with maintenance
high ethical standards, ethics and governance
Take steps to prevent practices that damage the intentions of
they have no policy.

Training & Certificate
Take on the work related to the training, testing and certification of Agents
as provided in the Insurance Act.

They contribute positively to establishing standards, training of officers and legislators
not only for products and sales but also for other aspects related to life insurance
industry has raised the level of technology.

Develop programs to develop skills in international collaboration
councils and life insurance centers.
Education and Awareness
Implement standard insurance awareness programs
Prepare to run the Continuous Development programs of the consultants
Provide general structured information to the public about the industry
